04-07-14 Training – Cultivating Assets in the Field

“An agent is only as good as his information.” Friday started “To gather that information you need as many eyes and ears bringing reliable information to you as you can get. This afternoon, Roadie, you are going to take the lead in finding us a new asset. You are a natural at this. You’ve already won over the UPS driver. Let’s see what you can do with someone more challenging.”

With that intro, Friday had Roadie lead us to the pond.

Friday followed far behind maintaining his ‘stealth mode’

We rounded the pond and headed across the field to the dirt road.

We came upon a critter Roadie had never seen before and she began barking.Friday told Roadie to holster her weapon, “I think we have a new friend here.”
After Friday did a thorough background check, he called Roadie up to begin recruiting their new friend.Roadie was a natural!“His name is Bob,” Roadie said.

I moved in for a closer picture. I think Bob may have spotted my spy cam.
Roadie and Bob had a good long conversation. Bob readily agreed to ‘play’ spy for Roadie.
He asked only that his code name be Don Juan. They just put up a fence to try and keep him away from his lady friends.
After exchanging cell numbers, Roadie said good bye to Don Juan and lead the way back home.

Friday threw in a surprise attack and paw to mouth combat.

After we got back into the house and dispatched the snacks (with prejudice),
Friday sat Roadie down and said,

“You did alright out there today, Kid. I’m proud of you. In no time you are going to make ‘Special Agent’ and you are gonna be one of the best there ever was. I know that when I retire, I can do so with peace of mind ’cause you’ll be out there keepin’ us all safe.”
