07-04-14 Independence Day
First of all, Roadie is doing GREAT. She’s in good spirits, good energy, and no fever whatsoever.
Second – the DirectTV is stopped working today (error 775 receiver cannot connect to the dish – both TVs). Not a problem. I have my laptop hooked up to the TV in the living room and I can watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and more… while editing my vacation pictures.
Just in case the littles have a problem with fireworks this evening, I’ve setup camp in the living room. I brought a pillow and sheets from home and made up the couch. Roadie and Joe Friday love being able to touch me when they’re sleeping. Joe Friday crawls under the blanket down by my feet till he gets warmed up. Roadie sleeps up by my head.
We did a short road trip to my condo late this afternoon – after all the hoopla on Winslow was over. Picked up things and headed right back. Didn’t want to be out after dark… Vampires and Zombies and Werewolves, Oh my!
This evening Roadie and Friday have been great. They barked a little, but not bad. I dosed off around 9pm and woke up at midnight. Never got woken up by barking.
